Information the Game Stores
When a game starts or ends, the application may store:
- A randomly generated game session ID and session timestamps.
- The final outcome, duration, and number of accepted answers.
- The Wikidata ID and label of each accepted person, in entry order.
- An automatically generated anonymous nickname for completed leaderboard runs.
The initial leaderboard also contains a one-time snapshot of entries imported from a publicly accessible leaderboard. New runs created here use generated anonymous labels.
Why We Process This Information
This information is used to operate the game, prevent duplicate answers, calculate completion statistics, rank completed runs, generate shareable results, diagnose errors, and protect the service from abuse.
Infrastructure and External Services
- Cloudflare Workers delivers the application, and Cloudflare D1 stores game and leaderboard records. Cloudflare may process standard connection data such as IP address, request headers, and diagnostic logs under its own policies.
- Name searches are sent directly from your browser to Wikidata and, when needed, English Wikipedia. Wikimedia may receive standard request information such as your IP address and browser details under its own privacy policy.
- Google Analytics 4 measures page visits and anonymous game interactions. Microsoft Clarity provides aggregated usage analytics, session recordings, and interaction heatmaps. These services may process device, browser, approximate location, and usage information under their own privacy policies.
The application does not load advertising scripts and does not require an account. You can use browser privacy controls or content blockers to limit third-party analytics.
Retention and Your Choices
A session can accept a final result for approximately 100 minutes after it begins. Game and leaderboard records may remain in D1 after that window so aggregate statistics and rankings continue to work. There is currently no fixed automatic deletion schedule.
You can stop playing before submitting any name. Because sessions are anonymous and are not connected to an account, it may not be possible to identify a specific record without enough session details.
Children's Privacy
The game is not designed to request names, email addresses, or other account information from children. Do not submit personal information about yourself or another private person through the game.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated when the service or its data practices change. The effective date above will be revised when a material update is published.
